Party With a Purpose

is a dynamic international initiative which actively involves young people by providing youth a place where they can speak out against the stigmas and taboos surrounding HIV and AIDS. By using all aspects of youth culture (their icons, their media, and their favorite music and dance) Dance4Life provides an energetic and engaging platform to address these serious issues.

We hope you can join us for this worthwhile and wildly fun event! Please click on the image above to sign up on the guest list. Admission is free, and Ultrabar will donate for each person on the list who comes out to the event!

Join the Movement

January 10, 2008
6:30-9:30pm
Teatro Goldoni
1909 K St NW
Washington, DC
Admission $50
Please click the above link to purchase tickets.

Capitol Movement, Inc. (CMI) believes in "building better lives through dance". It is their mission to provide "dance for all" by reaching out to the community to establish a traveling classroom and provide mentors for disadvantaged youth. In addition to youth outreach in the schools, CMI also offers scholarships for young dancers to attend elite training institutions and to participate in our performance programs such as the Junior Wizards Dancers now known as "Capital Kidz" and our CMI Kidz Company.

Through the annual dance concert, The Capitol Movement Project, CMI has been able to provide more than 120 area dancers a unique opportunity to gain experience performing in a professional production at a prominent venue. By attending audition workshops with local choreographers such as Tony Powell, Helanius Wilkins, and Joseph Nontanovan, as well as choreographers Eddie Garcia, Liz Imperio and Luam from Los Angeles and New York, they provide the local dance community with the exposure to works that would not otherwise be accessible to them. This unique dance concert, now in its third season, is one of the ways in which CMI raises funds to offer scholarships to aspiring local dancers, and to assist children and schools in need of arts and fitness programs.

Can't Make It This Weekend?

Even if you can't make it to our 01 Event this weekend, you can still contribute to the Noise!

We are holding a bake sale fundraiser as part of our event to support Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. Even though you might have to miss out on the yummy treats we will have for sale, you can still do your part by clicking here to donate between now and August 31st. All proceeds will go directly to Share Our Strength.

Complementary Noise and Share Our Strength thank you!
